Hell In The Cell 2011 Predictions
WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH:
Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix
Ever since the Divas of Doom formed and said they were going to “save the divas division”. This feud has been a continuous ongoing battle, but the results haven’t changed much. Kelly Kelly has been getting the victories PPV after PPV, when the Divas of Doom aren’t doing much saving to the division. Beth has pulled off a few victories on Raw against Kelly. But this hasn’t brushed off on the recent PPV results, from SummerSlam to Night of Champions. I’m not too sure what WWE are trying to get at, but it doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere good. I was certain that Beth would pull the easy win on Kelly Kelly in her hometown. But Kelly somehow pulled the victory out of the hat. It looks like WWE are quite fond on Kelly Kelly, I’m not exactly fond of Kelly, but she has seem to impress me lately. She’s really giving Beth some competition and is actually doing stuff in the ring besides the thesz press with various tennis grunts. Kelly in my opinion isn’t the greatest divas champion, but she can back up what she says, If I were to put the title on any diva it would of been on Beth Phoenix by now. I don’t understand why WWE is going in this direction of having Kelly continuously retain the title. It’s sort of looking like WWE isn’t putting enough effort in their divas division, but maybe they are and they’ve got some future plans that might be revealed later down the road. This feud hasn’t got a strong enough build for me to care much about it, because it hasn’t flipped the story angle in any way. It’s the same old heel diva vs the face. I’ll probably be wrong but I’m going to risk it and take the chance to say Beth Phoenix will finally pick up the victory this Sunday. I think it’s time to close the doors on this feud and maybe throw in Eve. Eve hasn’t been doing much in the ring. Maybe the tables could turn in this feud. Or Kelly might just retain and walk out still divas champions
Predicted Winner: Beth Phoenix
Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara
I’m not too thrilled about this feud. Because 1) it hasn’t developed enough to be PPV worthy & 2) there isn’t much backstory in this feud to be a compelling match. Once this rumor hit the internet as original Sin Cara’s doppelganger had been filling in for the absence of the original Sin Cara. I knew WWE would drag the idea of Sin Cara vs Sin Cara to their next PPV. I enjoyed Sin Cara as he first debuted he seemed quite interesting, but as the botches started happening and as he failed the wellness policy test. Things took a turn for this lucha, but I knew he would be back in the spotlight as he is Triple H first international hire. And well Triple H didn’t want to look like a screw up so this idea was pulled out of the blue. I didn’t mind Hunico (Fake Sin Cara) taking the role of Sin Cara. He didn’t quite match up to the original Sin Cara but he did match up to be a better Sin Cara. Then came the Smackdown episode where this feud started to evolve. And everything got put into place, I don’t mind the fact that’s theres not much dialogue in this feud. It’s just the way WWE is creating the feud to make it work. 40% of this feud is compelling to me because I want to see how these two luchas will put on a show. I’m expecting a few botches here and there, but The original Sin Cara will most probably reign supreme as the better Sin Cara since he’s the original and this feud would make a lot more sense if he did win. If there’s anything I want WWE to do with these two luchas after this feud is done. I’d like to see a tag team, I don’t see why not. Two heel luchas as a tag team ? Dos Caras ? that seems like a legit name for a future tag team. Make it happen !
Predicted Winner: Original Sin Cara
Sheamus vs. Christian
This match is obviously a filler. I don’t mind it, these guys have had some back story when it comes to interferring in matches. But on the mic these two haven’t really said much to light any sparks in this feud. But I’m all for it, I adore both guys ecspecially Sheamus with his new face persona. Sheamus might not be getting the best spots on PPV cards but lately he has been more than impressive. Christian on the other hand has had quite the feud with Orton, as they have been going back and fourth with their countless WH title matches. Now Christian has reached midcard status this feud with Sheamus could quite possibly put him back to where he was before. Although I don’t like the idea of Sheamus losing this battle, because that just puts him on a lower status when he is one of the best in the business today. Sheamus in my opinion has had his time on top now he’s being treated like the rest who are fighting their way to the top. Sheamus is most definetely WH champion material, he deserves another run, his feud with Mark Henry was quite compelling and they could of ended it on a better note. Maybe if they picked up where they left off, a possible feud for the WH title is where Sheamus could reign supreme once again.
Predicted Winner: Christian
HELL IN A CELL MATCH FOR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE:
Mark Henry (c) vs. Randy Orton
So Mark defends his title for the first time against no other then the Viper. Don’t know about you but I am looking forward to this mach the most. WWE finally uses Mark Henry properly and he’s at his best in his 15 years of being in the WWE. It’s sad that WWE finally uses him to his full potential but will it be for long ?. I personally don’t like the Viper as much as the kids and the fangirls do. But I like where he’s at now as the guy who’s hunting for the title. Because I believe that’s when he’s at his best, I thought about how the outcome will prevail and how will the title be handed back to Orton. Orton is Smackdown’s John Cena, make no mistake about it. But will he get the same treatment as the 10 time WWE Champ ?. Is it really time to put Henry back to where he was before.. down the road in jobberville. I think absolutely not !. Henry as WH champion has been nothing but interested his mic skills are amazing and he back it up in the ring. In my opinion it’s way too early to take the title off Henry, and as crammed in this PPV is, It’s too soon for Henry to hang up his boots as WH Champ. There’s a few possibilities of how this could end, perhaps Big Show and Kane return to take down the World’s Strongest Man. It’s a huge possibility but maybe if it was at Vengence then I could see this happening. Smackdown has been nothig but compelling since Mark Henry has been Champion and it’s way too early for him to be walking out with no title
Predicted Winner: Mark Henry
HELL IN A CELL MATCH FOR WWE HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE:
John Cena (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk
The WWE title seems to be floating around lately. And nobody has really had a decent title reign, now that Cena has got the title back around his waist do you honestly think he’ll lose it this Sunday ?. Night of Champions showcased ADR against Cena, in ADR’s first title defence. And as ratings played a huge part in Cena’s victory can anybody else honestly hold the title besides Cena. This might be a Hell In The Cell match but does that change much? I honestly don’t think It will because we’ll probably see the same outcome we’ve seen in recent PPVs. This feud has some backstory even with Punk in it, and as stupid as it is to have Punk in it, it kind of works well. The reason to why I think it’s quite stupid to have Punk in this match is because he was thrown in it with no purpose. The whole Nash/HHH/Punk angle didn’t seem to work out well with Nash having bad knees and Triple H having to take his spot at Night of Champions. It just didn’t end on a better note, I don’t see why this feud couldn’t of been continued to Punk vs Triple H at Hell In The Cell. At least that’d settle Triple H & Punk in their place but it looks like Punk is back in the title picture. And I don’t doubt Punk I love the guy he’s just an added figure in this match. Whether you believe it or not, his chances to come out on top in this match isn’t looking too kind. I could rant on about how WWE should treat ADR and Cena’s continuous victories but that wouldn’t change much this Sunday. Because Cena will come out on top and probably hold the title all the way up to Survivor Series. If I were to book this match Cena wouldn’t even have the title in the first place, the title would of stiil been on the waist of ADR, and I’d make ADR retain the title… that easy!. But in this case ADR’s chances of winning the title are a fair chance but he won’t walk out as our new WWE Champ. We’ll most probably hear Josh Roberts say “AND STILL WWE CHAMPION…. yeah you know the rest.
Predicted Winner: John Cena
