Vengeance 2011 PPV Predictions.
Before I type up these predictions, just a quick side note. I will not be watching Vengeance live, as I don’t think this PPV is really worth my money. I’ll download it later in the day and update you with my thought on Vengeance on twitter > @HEELZaheer
United States Championship: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Zack Ryder
Well for starters I think that having Ziggler wrestle twice on the card is pretty unfair. Although I think this match will be quite compelling, I’m a fan of the direction WWE are pushing Ziggler in. He’s raw talent in the ring and on the mic. I just think this feud is not the best move for Ziggler. Granted that Ziggler/Ryder have had some history down the road & settling it at this PPV would make perfect sense. Ziggler has been US champ and he hasn’t really been defending the title. But just seeing him with a title around his waist just makes him so relevant on the roster. I’m not afraid to say I love Ryder, he’s a good worker, he’s proven that he should be on the PPV card. He’s gone a long way to prove himself and this PPV could be a start to something new. Ryder is a good in ring competitor no doubt about it.. I love the rough ryder !. But is he U.S title material ? I don’t think so. I’m glad that WWE are making him relevant and giving him tv time. It’s just that… is this really the road they want him to go down on. I think it’s too soon for a Ryder US title run. I think Ryder will get that title some day but it’s just a little too early to be this Subday. Because I’m scared where that’ll leave Ziggler, if Ryder retains hypothetically speaking. Will that bring Ziggler down to irrelevant mid card status. It seem like it or he could just take the path to become the next IC champion.
This match could go both ways. WWE could finally be seeing something in Ryder to make him the US champ. Or Ziggler could win, clean victory or not. My prediction would have to be - Ziggler retaining the US title. Only because I think without the title we could see Ziggler going downhill to a lower status then to what he’s already on.
Predicted Winner: Dolph Ziggler
Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes
This would have to be the second match I’m looking forward to most on the card. Only because Rhodes is in the picture with Orton, & I love the chemistry these guys have. Smackdown after Smackdown Raw after Raw. These two have had the main event on both shows and they’ve put on tremendous matches. Especially Rhodes the kid had gone a long way from the dashing Cody Rhodes gimmick. And he’s the sort of character that paints an IC champ to me. I’ll give Rhodes all the credit because he deserves it. He’s a great worker and his sinister villain like character has grown on me. It’s a unique change to what we usually see and Rhodes is a perfect candidate for a WH champ or am I talking too soon ?. And don’t get me wrong I adore Orton he’s a great in ring competitor. And it’s nice to see him on the mid card level on this PPV. Rhodes and Orton still have some unfinished business and this is a perfect PPV to settle it all.
With this match on the card I only see it going one way. Orton would have to pick up the victory, as it’s not an IC title match. This feud won’t last long it’ll probably go as long as the Bryan/Barrett one which was really short-lived. And as much as I love Rhodes I can only see Orton picking up the victory easy. And we might see Rhodes, Ziggler, Swagge, Christian and Otunga attack Orton after the match. That’s if that whole alliance is still going on.. I doubt it

Divas Championship: Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Eve Torres
This is a major don’t-care-baby match for me. Beth Phoenix finally got the title at HIAC. And this would be a lovely match for her to reign on top as still divas champion. I like that Kelly isn’t the one in this match. It’s good to see Eve being useful, she does a mean moonsault that’s about it really. But yeah… i’ll keep it short and sweet. Beth retains, probably a clean win unless Natalya does some retarded shit to help her win.
Predicted Winner: Beth Phoenix
Sheamus vs. Christian
This could be an interesting match, I didn’t mind their match at HIAC. It was a sold 17 minute match. And for these two guys to go at it again… I’m all for it. I adore face Sheamus, his face turn has really been the best direction for him. And I’ve said it countlessly on twitter that he’s the one that should be feuding w/ Henry not Show. Face Sheamus will probably be WH champ… I hope fucking soon. Seriously the guy is at his best in his career give him a title for Christ sakes. Well Christian is quite irrelevant to me….. he’s bored me he hasn’t really been exciting me as he use to be. I think it’s the whole ‘one more match’ thing…. he was a good addition to Otunga’s stable…. but besides that he’s been quite pointless. There’a just so much of a whiny bitch I can take on tv and I think Christian has crossed that line, sure it makes you a good heel and it gets you good heat but on the other hand it just make you boring and repetitive. To be honest I just want to see these guys beat the shit out of eachother, whoever wins or loses I’m sure it’ll be a solid match… it’s not like this feud is going to continue.. well I hope not
Anyway I like seeing Sheamus destroy noobs so this should work well. Sheamus defeats Christian with a clean victory…. easy !

Tag Team Championship: Air Boom (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger
let me start by saying the tag team matches lately have been nothing but a snack break to me. Seriously Air Boom have talent minus that goofy tag team name. And yes they deliver…. but it’s all stale maneuvers to me. I like that AirBoom are the tag team champs and are trying to push the tag team division to a new direction. But now they’ve lost their relevance to me. At the beginning stage where AirBoom became tag champs and had a short lived feud with Miz & Truth… that was interesting. But with the conspiracy shit and everything else that took over I just didn’t care much for the tag champs anymore. I really wanted to see Miz/Truth as tag champs I was feeling it. But now it’s too late and well Swagger and Ziggler as tag champs is a huge possibility. But will we see it…. I doubt it. I would love to see Ziggler and Swagger as our new tag champs. But I don’t know whether the titles will change hands or not. AirBoom have had it for a reasonable time to drop it. I just think their run isn’t quite over yet….
I’m going with AirBoom picking up the win. Although it would be quite interesting to see Ziggler lose the US title to Ryder and then go on to become tag champs with Swagger. This match could go both ways. I just don’t want to have faith that WWE would do what I wish. It’s just wishful thinking at this point

World Heavyweight Championship: Mark Henry (c) vs. Big Show
This match is probably the main reason why I’m not ordering this PPV. If I wanted to see a really slow & dragged out match I’d watch Lesnar vs Goldberg - Wrestlemania 20… I hate it when two giants collide to take on one another. On paper it looks incredible in the ring it looks unbearable, sure the first 5 minutes is Intriguing. Two big giants talking smack, one pushes the other, the other retaliates, they get into a heated brawl, fists to the head one of them is down…. he’s been down for 10 minutes…. it’s just ridiculous really. I don’t know why they bought Big Show back in the first place, they should of let him make more shitty movies. I would of much rather see a Kane/Henry feud. I’d take Kane over Show anytime of the day, I think Kane is much more of a better worker who can also cut ridiculously good promos, where he doesn’t mention walking his dog. And I get that WWE are trying to make Big Show look like an unstoppable force, he wants revenge, I get it. It just isn’t really fair to other guys that deserve a WH title shot.
Anyway the last thing I want to see is Big Show coming out on top as our new champ. Mark Henry isn’t done with being this scary motherfucker. And putting Big Show out of his misery for a second time could really turn heads for the dumb-ass wrestling marks who still think that Henry doesn’t deserve the WH title run he’s given….. because they’re clearly fuck heads that don’t know shit. Maybe Kane will return…. during the end of the match where Henry is attempting to break Henry’s ankle again. It could happen, we could then be handed a Kane/Henry feud… Have some faith guys

CM Punk and Triple H vs. The Miz and R-Truth
To be honest when this match was announced I was pissed off. To me this is a Raw quality match not a PPV quality match. And I get that that they’re doing this to prepare us for Survivor Series and to emphasize the point that Punk is a face and he’s made his peace with Triple H. It just strikes me as a poor quality match for a PPV like Vengeance….. maybe I’m just so use to seeing Punk wrestle on his own. Miz & Truth on the other hand are brilliant, their work over these past few months have been grade A work. I wouldn’t even be surprise to see them pick up the win. But then again they’re going up against the ‘Cerebral Assassin’…. Triple H !. This feud has some history to make the match compelling, I wouldn’t be surprise to see Johnny Ace pull some strings and get involved somehow….
I’m going to have to go with Miz & Truth. This match Is quite a tough call… but this could be a perfect way to set up something big for survivor series. And I’ve got a gut feeling that Johnny Ace will fuck shit up some way somehow

Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. John Cena
Oh fuck me gently, I hate last man standing or I quit matches that involve Cena. Because usually during these type of matches Cena would be completely knocked the fuck out and somehow regain some crazy Hogan like stamina and get back on his feet to take the win. That’s a generic Cena sort of win, but in this case is it possible… There is hope that Del Rio retains. Let’s look at it this way…. Cena will be involved in a traditional tag team match with The Rock at Survivor Series. Thus leaving him out of the title picture, and it’s been said on the internet somewhere that Punk will most likely be stirring the pot with Del Rio at WM28. Whilst Cena goes one on with The Rock. It’s an easy way to look at this match, but it’ll most probably involve Ricardo doing some sort of shit to fuck Cena’s chances of winning. Or a clean win but I highly doubt that. Even though Del Rio is a superb worker, he’s one of the best today. But putting Del Rio over Cena in a clean win is just asking for too much
Whether Del Rio gets a clean win or not. I see him retaining leaving Cena out of the title picture to go on to Survivor Series to handle his shit with The Rock… what if The Rock interfered in this match. I must be on something to even consider that as a possible idea.
